Day 1 & 2: Ponza
We are your crew, Richard and Alexandra, and we are delighted to host your celebration aboard sailing catamaran Hawkeye. The Sanfelice Circeo Marina is about an hour and a half by car from Rome airport. It is a pleasant ride along a scenic highway. Once you’re settled on board, toast your arrival with Hawkeye’s signature Welcome Cocktail. We set our course for the island of Ponza, the first stop on your romantic adventure.
Absolutely the best vantage from which to appreciate this island’s charms is from your private yacht. Cliffs cascade down into the water, forming a jagged coastline of crevices, caves and grottos. There is plenty to explore, above and beneath the Tyrrhenian Sea. There are numerous sheltered bays to drop anchor, snorkel, swim, spend time together and savor the romance.
Despite being a favorite with Roman citizens (since the Empire), the sheltered Porto di Ponza retains the beauty of its origins as a simple fishing village. It is timeless and unpretentious. We anchor in a quiet bay just behind the bustling Porto. Spend a dreamy day relaxing on board, or wander hand in hand around the town. Porto has fashionable shops, trendy restaurants and classic Mediterranean architecture to appreciate. Sit seaside and sip an aperitivo. When in Italy, la vita è bella.

Day 3: Ischia
Enjoy early morning romance with a leisurely breakfast in bed. Once you’re up and about we set sail for the island of Ischia. You will see in the distance Monte Epomeo, a 2,585-ft. dormant volcano. It feeds the mineral hot springs and therapeutic muds used by more than 150 spas on the island. Take an amorous mud bath together.
We anchor at Cartaromana Beach, which has fantastic views of the medieval Aragonese Castle, linked to Ischia by a stone bridge. Go ashore to explore Castello Aragonese and stroll along Ischia’s main shopping street, Corso Vittoria Colonna.
Cartaromana is well-known for its natural hot thermal water springs that spill out onto the shore. You can swim in the sea even during the winter. Here you can also snorkel the Roman ruins that are underwater just off the beach.
We recommend a half-day at the Giardino Eden Beach Club. They say, it’s “a magical spot particularly sought after by sunbathing lovers”. The Sea Restaurant offers refined, Mediterranean cuisine, a well-stocked wine cellar, extraordinary scenery and the soothing sound of waves. Giardino Eden is epically sensual. You will not be disappointed.

Day 4: Capri
Capri is a deliciously decadent destination for couples in love. Its fabled beauty and refined hedonism captivate everyone, from Roman rulers and Russian revolutionaries to Hollywood legends. From the sea the view is magnificent. Before you are the soaring heights of Monte Solaro, fragrant orchards of lemons and oranges, ancient villas and modern marinas.
Faraglioni Rockscoastal
Captain Richard will take you on a tour of the famous Faraglioni Rocks before reaching Capri Town. These dramatic formations have been hollowed through by erosion. The turquoise blue waters are perfect for snorkeling. Find a secret hideaway, the surrounding islets conceal pristine spots and hidden coves.
Capri and Anacapri
We anchor off Marina di Piccola, surrounded by some of the world’s most opulent yachts. The location offers easy access to the exclusive shops, elegant restaurants and storied hotels of this enchanting island.
For serenity and gorgeous scenery, visit the Hermitage of Cetrella. We can make you a delightful picnic to add romance to your excursion. Take the chairlift to the top of Mount Solaro, then walk back down the mountain path. Follow the signs for the Eremo di Cetrella. The picturesque valley with the quiet chapel overlooking the Faraglioni is perfect for an intimate picnic for two.
In the heights of Anacapri, linger over a sensual cocktail or dinner for two at La Terrazza di Lucullo in the Hotel Caesar Augustus, dubbed “the most romantic restaurant on the island of Capri”. Reserve one of the panoramic, private dining terraces looking out over the sea. The view stretches from the Bay of Naples to Salerno, the coastline of Capri, the Amalfi Coast, and Vesuvius. Have a passionate encounter you will never forget.
In the evening, romance and culture reach a crescendo in Capris. There are concerts in the squares, or at the splendid villas built by Tiberius. Peruse painting and sculpture exhibitions, or watch plays and dance performances.
From the Piazzetta, it’s a short stroll for romance at Punta Tragara, an overlook with stunning sea views. It is rarely crowded, especially in the evening. Feel like a little clubbing? Join A-listers at Taverna Anema e Core, THE nightlife spot on Capri. Models, celebrities, yachtsmen and jetsetters don their finest club attire to enjoy the music, dancing, singing and friendly people.

Day 5: Siren Islands & Positano
Today we set sail for Positano. This seaside town on the Amalfi Coast has been reimagined by painters, the subject of poets and playwrights, and is beloved by visitors. En route we anchor at the famous Siren Islands for lunch on board and a delightful swim. The tiny archipelago was the mythological site of Greek sirens. These beauties enchanted sailors with their melodious voices, luring them to their deaths upon the rocks.
Positano is a colorful confection piled up on the face of a hill. It is famous for its architecture, ancient steps and steeply twisting streets. Visit shops, galleries, fine restaurants and trendy cafes. It is a favorite for destination weddings and honeymoons and has been the backdrop for numerous films. In Positano, the postcard views are the real-life views.

Day 6: Praiano
Praiano, Positano’s lesser-known neighbouring village, offers twice the charm and half the crowd. This centuries-old fishing village enjoys a different kind of tourism. It is a quietly elegant alternative to its more famous, congested and commercialized neighbours. This seaside gem has a relaxed atmosphere. Lounge aboard Hawkeye all morning. Indulge in a lazy, late breakfast and a leisurely swim. In the afternoon, climb the ribbons of stairs that rise between olive trees, pine trees, oleander and bougainvillea. Meander all the way up to the village.
Marina di Praia is a jewel.
In this little fishermen’s port, a hundred boats bob in the sun. Fishing nets lie scattered about. A few white-washed houses perch on the rocks. At the beach begins one of the Amalfi Coast’s most romantic seaside walks. You can wander all the way around the cliff. Beneath the tower is the perfect place for a declaration of love and a romantic photograph.
Gavitella Beach Sunsets
Gavitella is the only beach on the Amalfi Coast to watch the sun until it sets. The amazing west-facing view includes Positano, Capri, and one of the gorgeous and wild Li Galli islands. We recommend the Lido’s excellent restaurant, open for both lunch and dinner. The sensual setting inspires. Stare into each other’s eyes over sunset aperitivi. You can be dropped off and/or picked up by our private tender.
With a restaurant, wine cellar and lounge bar, Il Pirata is another perfect place to spend an entire evening. This renowned venue in La Praia is carved into the cliff face, with roped platforms overlooking an endless expanse of sea. It’s a spectacular view that can be consumed for hours.
Il Pirata has a huge wine cellar in a natural cave and a slick lounge bar away from the restaurant. It’s little wonder that regulars here want to keep the place a secret. The sea-urchin linguine is exquisite, as are the signature cocktails.
The most famous club on the Amalfi coast is actually found in Praiano. Africana, constructed in 1962 inside a huge natural cave at sea level, has a uniquely magical atmosphere. The Club has a long history of VIPs who have partied in its stony depths. Rub shoulders with today’s jet-setters whiling the night away.

Day 7: Amalfi
Our penultimate day dawns in the stunning city of Amalfi. The city extends to the water’s edge with a pretty promenade running its length. Head to the historic center, dominated by the 9th-century Duomo di Sant’Andrea cathedral on the Piazza del Duomo. It is an architectural, historic and artistic masterpiece protecting the relics of Apostle Saint Andrew. The Duomo is still at the heart of local life, played out on the Piazza in technicolor. Enjoy a gelato on the grand staircase and watch life unfold. Amble about the elegant shops. Amalfi is quite bijoux in terms of size, you can easily walk from one end to the other in 20 minutes.
In the afternoon, we recommend taking an excursion into the stunning Amalfi countryside. The region is rich in lemons, a fruit that by now will be very familiar. Less known are fine local wines, produced from vineyards balanced on the vertiginous hills of the coast.
Lemon Tour
Visit one of the perfumed lemon groves where farmers still use centuries-old methods of sustainable, organic farming. Explore mountain villages north of Amalfi to experience the famously sweet and fragrant Amalfi lemon, so sweet you can even eat the rind. Sample the region’s famous limoncello. Eat an unforgettable slice of lemon honey cake.
Wine Tour
With Italy’s abundance of world-class wine regions, it’s no surprise that Amalfi’s small stretch of coastal vineyards remains largely undiscovered. But that’s slowly changing thanks to Cantine Marisa Cuomo, a winery in the cliffs of Furore.
Here the wines are as beautiful as the landscape itself. You’ll find crisp, fruity whites made from little-known native grapes. Wine aside, the estate is worth a visit for the views alone. Imagine 25 acres of lush, terraced vineyards overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. We suggest that you take the one-hour tour. This includes the vineyards, wine tasting and a visit to a restaurant near the estate for a tasting lunch.
Amalfi is within reach of both Rome and Naples airports via taxi, or the efficient Italian train service Trenitalia. As a final destination, it is a gorgeous place to say good-bye.

Hawkeye’s private master cabin spans the entire starboard hull. This dedicated honeymoon suite is closed off from the rest of the yacht. It is furnished with a queen size island bed and a generous seating/dressing area. There are hanging closets and a spacious bathroom with separate shower. Large one-way windows offer seclusion while letting in plenty of light.
Hawkeye has three levels and multiple areas for you to indulge your passions.
