Each of the five guest staterooms on board Unforgettable is entirely different. The Shoji Suite, in soothing earth tones, is linear and calming, while the Neptune Suite is fanciful and ornate. The master stateroom, with four-poster king bed, is stately and traditional while the twin bunk Pit Stop, with Wii and Playstation, is as colorful as a cartoon.
Adrian Foulkes, the amiable Mate who hails from England, accompanied us on our tour. Although he could not tell us the specific names of the nine different woods used in adorning Unforgettable, he knows about seasickness and says, “If you spend enough time on a boat everybody gets seasick, there’s a wave out there for everybody. The best cure is to sit under a tree. Seriously…fresh ginger chopped up, pour hot water on it and drink it, then take a bit of the ginger and stick it under your lip. It is almost an instantaneous cure.”
