We stepped aboard La Manguita first, and were immediately impressed by the enormous aft deck with elegant seating around a table that adjusts positions to accommodate casual cocktails or fine dining. This extremely versatile area includes a wetbar with refrigerator and storage. Aft is a convenient live bait well that can also be used as an ice chest, built into the aft-deck sole.
La Manguita has extraordinary living space, comparable to an 80-90ft monohull, due to the expansive beam of this charter power catamaran. The saloon features U-shape sofa seating to port opposite the starboard side galley with bar stool seating for four. The galley is impressive, equipped for gourmet cooking with plenty of maneuvering room. An interior staircase positioned forward of the galley leads to the flybridge.
The master stateroom is located forward and offers breathtaking views when seated in bed. The master bathroom is equipped with shower, vanity counter, double sinks and is roomy enough for two to actually use them together. The guest twin cabin features a Pullman, excellent for three children, or it can be converted to a queen. The VIP features a walk-around queen with a large window opposite the bed for delightful views.
Outdoor living is at it’s best up on the huge flybridge of luxury charter yacht La Manguita. The climate-controlled area is covered with a fiberglass hardtop. The sole helm station is located here, as well as a spacious dinette with comfortable seating around a teak table, a granite countertop bar with two swivel stools, a prep sink, fridge and barbecue. Sea Boss has a similar configuration but features built in seating for two adjacent to the helm, which is a nice feature available on this model, but comes at the sacrifice of interior access to the flybridge.
La Manguita and Sea Boss have young, energetic, professional crews of two. They are enthusiastic about taking care of the needs of their guests, providing great food and lots of fun. These charter yachts are also economical, weighing about half of a monohull with equivalent space. High tech hull design combined with lightweight construction result in outstanding fuel efficiency, a real economic benefit that augments the allure of island hopping in the Bahamas and BVI aboard either of these gracious vessels.
